First touch
#behindtheflap #iloveturntables. I don’t know where to start, so I’ll just start from the very beginning. My love for turntables and my passion for playing music started at a young age. I was lucky to be allowed to play records on my aunt’s turntable. These moments stimulated my curiosity for turntables, music and technology.
Sidenote: I found this picture a few years ago, but it took me until today to discover I still have the actual record used in this 30+ year old picture.

| The first time I heard the sound of a dj scratching was on the ‘From the South’ song. I listened to this track on repeat for days. It’s still funny to me because it’s the first CD I bought as a kid with my ‘own’ money, mainly because at the time I was a fan of ‘The Fresh Prince’ tv show, not knowing about the legendary Jazzy Jeff who was scratching on the record and which role he would play later on.
Till this day he has been one of my favourite dj’s to watch
